FONTEVERDE cultivates more than 1000 hectares of land in different districts
of south-east Sicily; 55% of surfaces are in the Ragusa area, 45% E’ all’inizio l’ordinamento in the Siracusa district. At the beginning of each agricultural
year, the production managers, after adequate assessments, draw up a production
plan which becomes the firm cultivation. The production plan of the firm is structured
in such a way that a big surface is destined to well watered vegetable fields, 440 hectares about, that is 48,60% of the total surface; while 148 hectares, that is
16,40%, is destined to cultivation in a protected environment (tunnel, green-houses).

In order to carry out the rotation of crops, the production plan
provides that 300 hectares of lands are destined to the cultivation
of cereals (wheat). For each agricultural year, the medium FONTEVERDE
yearly production is the following one:
